Fun, fun and more fun!

That's what I encountered today while shooting with fellow photographer, Tya, of Eyeni Photography - and we had a BLAST!

I love working with Tya because we've known each other since...birth it seems...and we complement each other so well. We don't have to speak - there's a hidden speech that happens when we occupy the same space.

I was asked by Ms. Eyeni herself to second shoot for this wonderfully, wonderful wedding. I don't think I've ever seen a bride smile soooo much! Or laugh that much, for that matter. Kim was beautiful, calm, collected and ready to wed her incredible Orin (O.J., for short).

Congratulations, Kim + O.J.

The first time Mike opened his mouth, I almost gasped in awe! I have never, in my life heard a voice so effortlessly similar to Elvis' - since Elvis.

After a small, unexpected hiccup, the day went as any other wedding would - WONDERFULLY!

Congrautlations Missy + Mike!

Monday night football? Not a chance.

While most people were shouting about who fumbled what, Larissa and Todd were exchanging vows.

Katie's father started his speech citing how his "princess" told him at an early age that she was to be married in a castle...Maryvale Castle to be correct.

The day unfolded beautifully and Katie and Mike reveled in it all.

Congratulations, Katie + Mike.

Shea + Bill met while at college, as the story goes...and the rest? Is history in the making...

The weather was agreeably on our side - it wasn't too hot, too cold, it was (in unison) just right. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were in high spirits as people came from far and wide to witness the union of Shea and Bill.

I have seen a few grooms, but I don't think I've ever seem them noticably nervous. Bill, on the other hand, was definitely concerned that everything went well - for both himself and his wonderful bride, Shea.

There was the slight mishap of Shea's grandma overheating, but she was determined to see Shea celebrate her union with new hubby, Bill.

Congratulations, Shea + Bill!

* Bill's tie was made from the same fabric as Shea's dress, which means it was beautiful - but almost impossible to tie!

*This crowd was definitely famaliar with the dance floor! Shea knew words to songs I didn't even know - now that's a feat!

Brooke and Ernest's wedding was definitely one of celebration!

Their ceremony was gorgeous (hot, but gorgeous nonetheless). Their friends and family were ecstatic to see these two come together. The wedding was the most colorful that I've seen in a while - flourescent green, orange and pink yamika's and matching bright bouquets!

Congratulations, Brooke + Ernest!

*Could you have asked for a more picturesque setting?

*They played this game all evening! I still don't fully understand the objective.

Katie and Matt have been dating since...forever, so it was no surprise to anyone that this day was coming when it did. You can't fabricate the feelings these two have towards each other: their smiles are more than contagious.

It was evident that this was a guaranteed match when you heard the best man (a childhood friend) and matron of honor (the groom's sis) congratulate the newlyweds with a toast.

Congratulations, Katie + Matt!

[ September 7th, 2007 was the most sought after date for weddings, which lets me know that August 8th, 2008 is going to be equally active next year! ]

Kim + Joe celebrated their union at the George Peabody Library in Mount Vernon and it was a blast! The groomsmen were obsessed with Reservoir Dogs and demanded that I take the classic "walk down the street with the cool shades" pictures.

Everyone had a good time and I didn't mind getting down on the dance floor either!
[ Journey rocks! (but don't tell anyone I said so) ]

Congratulations Kim + Joe!

Oh, the colors!

Now, as some of you may or may not know, I'm a black and white fanatic! Sure, color definitely has its place, but there's something about black and white that really feels like its traps a moment and preserves it for centuries to come. ( Well, I know centuries is a really long time, but a girl can dream, can't she? ) I'm surprised that the majority of the images in this post are black and white, though. I just felt there was something timeless about these two.

After two cocktail hours and two ceremonies (one Christian and one Hindu), Faye + Sid were finally ready to hit the dance floor, which is where these two met originally - in dance class (it was a swing class, I believe).

This was a lively bunch and I had to stop myself every which way from jumping on the dance floor with the rest of them...

[ I got the music in me... (yea, I know I'm lame) ]

Congratulations, Faye + Sid!
